Tour of Etretat, Normandy

The city of Etretat is one of the most picturesque and famous places in Normandy. Once it was the modest fishing village and now it has turned into a famous world-class resort. This is not surprising, because many famous writers and artists found their inspiration exactly here. One of the main attractions of Etretat is the Alabaster coast of rocks, which stretches for a hundred kilometers. There is a magnificent sight of waves and rocks pierced by vast arches. Here bizarre cliffs, approaching the sea, form a huge sea gate. A tour of Etretat is really one of the most impressive of all.

The Alabaster coast has always attracted travelers with amazing vertical magic and snow-white cliffs. This is the so-called Triple Arch, created by nature itself. Nearby there is a white seventy-meter obelisk that grows directly from the waves or the famous “Etretat’s Needle”. It was this “Needle”, at one time, that became the inspiration of the impressionist painter Claude Monet for creating his legendary paintings. Etretat’s unique natural landscape brought worldwide fame and glory.

Cognitive and gastronomic pleasure in Etretat

From July to September during the tour of Etretat, you can also visit the former summer residence of the Spanish royal family. Here you can fully enjoy the authentic interiors and household items of the 19th century. And at the foot of one of the cliffs you will find abandoned bunkers from the Second World War.

A tour of Etretat is not only magnificent nature and an immersion in history, but also a great gastronomic pleasure.
